Our Role

A severe shortage of talent is a common feature of Asia’s fast-growth economies, and demand will far exceed supply for the foreseeable future. In every market, finding the right people to fill senior positions is the most critical function of top management. Yet, while it is always possible, given enough time and resources, to identify the best people in the market, it is often much more difficult to bring them on board. Assisting top management in both stages of this process is our business. Our search methodology is exhaustive, but still time- and cost-effective in producing the most qualified candidates. Searches are conducted by specialists who understand our clients' business and human capital needs. Of course, our process is managed according to strict disciplines, and by consultants who provide strategic counsel and straightforward feedback to ensure the setting of realistic expectations – as you should expect from a high-end professional services firm.

Our Role

Our Positioning

We are retained to conduct C-level assignments, both regionally and in individual markets. We also handle searches for first-tier reports to the country-head, ie, divisional directors/functional leaders. Although most of the divisional-director-level assignments are completed with in-market candidates, we are now more frequently asked to conduct cross-border searches to source executives at this level from other Asian markets.

Our aim is to achieve steady business growth from a stable base of satisfied, long-term clients. More than eighty per cent of our business comes in the form of repeat assignments from existing clients. We continue, however, to build our client list in line with our sector expertise. This dual strategy of retaining existing clients and concentrating on sectors where we have proven expertise has driven the steady growth of TRANSEARCH Wright Company over the last two decades.

Our Points of Difference

We are professional consultants, and we manage expectations professionally. If a candidate profile is unrealistically demanding, we will let our clients know what is possible and – equally important – what is not.

Our premise is that by retaining us for the Executive Search process, our clients are making a strategic investment in their business, rather than incurring an unwanted cost for a tactical response to a short-term need.

Our research is rigorous, systematic and disciplined. The key output deliverable - thorough market-mapping - represents a strategic competitive advantage to our clients.

Our focus is Asia-Pacific. Although our systems, disciplines and practices are of the highest international standards, our operations – regional headquarters, back offices, knowledge base and expertise – are Asia-Pacific focused. We have a regional overhead structure which means we can devote more resources – people, technology and time – to our clients than our global competitors.
